NEWPORT, R.I. (August 30, 2016) –The annual C. Thomas Clagett, Jr. Memorial Clinic and Regatta, with sailors from the US, Canada, the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico in attendance, wrapped up the 14th year of the premier disabled sailing regatta in North America earlier this summer.
The video from the 2016 Clagett is now available for viewing online and tells the story of where The Clagett is going as the organization moves towards its 15th year of operation. New to The Clagett this year is the addition of the Clagett/Oakcliff Match Race event that was held in Oyster Bay New York in July. The inaugural event had eight teams in attendance and all involved vowed to return in 2017.
2017 will be the 15th year of The Clagett and organizers would like to invite Clagett alumni to come along to the clinic and regatta which will be held June 22-25, 2017 in Newport, RI.
"We look forward to seeing as many of the sailors who have sailed with us over the 14 years of The Clagett return to the 15th Clagett clinic and regatta in 2017. The Clagett is continually looking for new ways to offer opportunities to adaptive sailors and athletes to Reach for Success, " remarked Clagett President and co-founder, Judy McLennan.
