What are joystick steering systems? How does this adaption work?
Joystick Steering Systems, often referred to as Joystick Servos, can be used by sailors with limited mobility. Similar to the Sip and Puff System, the Joystick Steering System is an eletronic device installed on the sailboat. The Joystick Steering System is connected to the sailboats rudder, and allows the skipper to control the direction of the sailboat. Joystick Steering Systems can often be removed if needed. Some sailors use their chins to control the joysticks, while others might use their hands or feet.
