Allianz Sailing World Championships in The Hague August 8-20, 2023
Five US sailors will compete in the 2023 Para World Sailing Championships Regatta. Each one of these sailors has a connection with Clagett Sailing. The US sailors competing are Maureen McKinnon - Longtime Clagett Sailor and two time US Paralympian, Shan MacAdoo who won the SKUD 18 class at Clagett and is sailing with Maureen in the RS Venture Connect class, Jim Thweatt sailing in the Men's Hansa 303 class & former Clagett sailor, John Seepe - Clagett Boat grantee and 2.4mR class President sailing in the 2.4mR class and Betsy Alison - 5 time Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year, Clagett working Committee member and Clagett Sailing coach sailing her first Para Sailing regatta in the Women's Hansa 303 class.
In May 2023 the Clagett Sailing Board of Directors voted to support the team in their endeavor. The entire Clagett Sailing organization wishes the US Team and Team Clagett members the best of luck and fair winds as the competition begins this week.
