What kind of sailboat is a 2.4mR, and what are the features of this boat?
The 2.4mR is a technical and competitive singlehanded boat sailed by both able bodied and adaptive sailors. The 2.4mR jib can be adapted using either a whisker pole or a jib boom. A sheeting windlass for the 2.4mR is also available, see below. The jib boom technlolgy is still being developed, updates and resources will be posted here as they become available.

A jib boom is a device used to make the jib of a 2.4mR self tacking. This adaption can often be useful to sailors that have difficulty to adjust the whisker pole as they are changing course downwind. The jib boom installation includes a track on the bow of the boat, that allows the jib to self tack. A video of a jib boom in action can be found below,
